Manic Monday Roll Call

Wow this is one quiet roll call this morning - everybody recuperating from a long weekend??

I'm back at work well rested this morning - yesterday was a serious couch-fest between me and my butt!! I did manage to do 4 loads of laundry and make a decent dinner for all of us but that was the extent of my activities yesterday. Saturday's family party was absolutely exhausting - the family continues to grow but sadly my husband and I also continue to get OLDER so the set-up and clean-up are taking their toll. But it was a wonderful day and I think everyone had a great time. Lots of new babies to hold, and of course the older ones needed their lap time as well, so yesterday I was dealing with a sore arm and sore knees - LOL!!

This week I have PT two nights, need to go to the Christmas Tree Shop one night so I can make centerpieces for our work holiday party. I guess I'll decorate the office this afternoon - have some serious filing that needs to be done this morning.

And that's my exciting news for the day! Stay warm everybody - its FREEZING out there!!

Good Chilly Monday Morning,

    Was a nice semi quiet weekend for me which is rare these days. Friday stayed in watched a movie with my aunt then Saturday breakfast then home to decorate my window. Watched another movie Saturday night. Seems Dennis and my Aunt thought Sherlock Holmes was a weird movie. I thought it was a good at home movie to watch.

Sunday got up made breakfast for Dennis & I then vegged till it was time to head to work which was the Red Hatters Christmas Party. I took my Aunt out with me for the afternoon she enjoyed the time out and of course everyone made a fuss about her being there with me. Then once Den picked us up we took my aunt home then made our way to Steffi's house to meet her family and celebrate with them their Chanukah dinner. It was my first experience and loved her family. OK Larry's cooking was a factor in going.HA HA!  No really it is her 2 girls that give great hugs and are always excited when we come in to her home to welcome us. Her family was beyond amazing and I see where she gets it! They were so welcoming and made us feel like part of the family. THANK YOU STEFFI AND LARRY! 

Today has me at work counting down the days as I have a 4 day week then a mini getaway with the Bigman for his birthday then after work home to start dinner for Den & my Aunt then I am going to meet some of my girlfrimeds for dinner. Then home to snuggle in bed with the Bigman cause it is cold out!

Good morning -
Attended the Barix meeting Saturday and met some nice new people. It really is amazing sharing with people who "get" what I'm saying, and who have been where I am now. Or are where I am now.
Then I went out to have my first steak Saturday night. I was so excited for it, but while it was good, I was only able to eat a few bites. The steak kinda sat in my pouch like a lump. Wasn't even interested in the leftovers on Sunday. Well, now I know.

On Sunday I intended to go to a Bone Marrow Drive, but learned that although my BMI is now acceptable, I have to wait at least one year past surgery before I can join the registry. I am putting this on my calendar for my one year anniversary. What a better way to celebrate?

Today is work followed by the gym. I need to get better about this. I'm not going to set myself up for failure by committing to 3-5 days a week. Right now I just want to get myself from the once a week I am currently going, to at least twice a week. If I hit the gym tonight and Wednesday I'll be happy.

Good morning all I was up early and decided to go for a walk so I threw my coat on and was 1/2 way out and went back in to put my chow's doggie coat on her I swear she put one paw out the door and the Princess looked at me like hell no go grab a coat for me.  Its cold and windy out here but we kept walking.  Good for both of our figures. As soon as we got back in she got her food warmed up and I grabbed a de-caf cup of tea.  Its cold as hell.  I have a million things to do today so everybody have a great day & stay warm. Trish, glad you had such a good weekend. Sugar is the enemy but we are still human.  Went to a neighbor's son's bday party and she handed me cake to take home and I said to her now you know its for George & Heather right and after my experience with bday cake last time getting so sick I wanted to dive into the toilet and flush myself down I was so not going down the same road.  Lesson hard learned.

Good Morning Trish!

I am SO tired from making latkes last night and fighting with the food processor! I don't use it that often so I forget how to and then I wind up screwing things up!! Perfect example, I wound up slicing the potatoes instead of shredding them, duh! Then I sliced the onions instead of dicing them!! ARGH!!! I guess that is why I only do latkes once a year... I also made a couple of other things because Dee was out with our neighbor and her daughter all day so I baked! Then my beaters on my mixer decided to die on me! I got sticker shock when I looked at the prices for the one I REALLY want! So, if anyone wants to buy me one for Chanukah , I wouldn't say no!! Kitchen Aid Professional Stand mixer with 5 quart bowl and attachments!! JK!!!

Today is wor****il 3:30 then off to the Chiropractor. Home, dinner, homework, bath and hopefully early bed time tonight! LONG week ahead!!! I am also getting ready for my holiday concert which is a exercise in FRUSTRATION!! Now, the district says that I cannot take any of my students during literacy OR math times. Well, everybody does literacy and math at different times. So, the only option I have is during their lunch which also happens to be MY lunch...who needs to eat?? After next Friday it won't matter until the Spring!
